Many problems with English longbows can be corrected if caught early enough, even many problems that may be thought terminal.

Virtually anything on an all wood bow can be repaired but it may not be cost effective.

There a number of repairs or improvements that are possible on longbows for example:

  • Replacement or repair to backings for those that are damaged or to correct set or string follow.
  • Replacement nocks.
  • Replacement or new arrow passes.
  • Handle repairs or replacement.
  • Limb repairs and replacement
  • Decreasing or increasing the weight of the longbow.
  • Blooms to repair frets or crysals
  • Replacement riser.
  • An existing bow made into a carriage or take-down longbow.

Contact me to discuss whether the repair is feasible or cost effective.
